Cassie Martin - Assistant Varsity Coach
Coach Cassie began dancing at age 3. When she moved to Minnesota in 6th grade she joined Just for Kix- Elk River and continued dancing with them until she graduated. In high school she was a member of the Elk River High School dance team most notably going to state in AAA Jazz & Kick her senior year and placing 3rd in kick! Cassie attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to get a degree in Elementary Education.
Cassie began coaching Rogers Dance Team as the JV Coach in 2012. She continued coaching RDT until 2015 when she decided to take some time off to focus on her growing family. Cassie returned to coaching with RDT again in 2017 and for the past two seasons she has been the assistant varsity coach. Her goals for the upcoming season include continuing to build on the positive team culture and to provide new and enriching experiences for the dancers. She also looks forward to climbing the ranks during our second year in the Northwest Suburban Conference as well as in our section. Cassie says, “every year the athletes on this team surprise me with how dedicated they are to improving as dancers and as a team. We are a young team, growing in talent and experience every year and these athletes are truly the reason I continue to come back. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the 2020-2021 season!”
Outside of RDT Coach Cassie is a Kindergarten teacher at Rogers Elementary School. At home she’s married to her husband Kyle and mom to Brody(5), Makenzie (3) and newborn daughter Paisley. She enjoys going for walks outside with her family, exercising everyday, she loves hot yoga at CorePower and being the best mom she can be to her kids!

Megan Kemmetmueller - JV Head Coach
Megan began dancing in 5th grade when she joined Just For Kix- Elk River. In 8th grade, she  became a member of the Rogers Dance Team and danced on the team until graduation in 2015. During her years on the team RDT  won 4 conference championships, made a state appearance in AA kick and jazz, and Megan was selected for All State Jazz her senior year. After high school Megan retired her dancing shoes and went to college at the University of St. Thomas. After a few years there, she decided to transfer to North Dakota State University in 2017. Upon transferring, Megan decided to come out of retirement and made the nationally ranked NDSU Bison Dance Team and was on the team until  graduating in 2019. She competed in D1 Pom and Hip Hop at the UDA nationals in Orlando FL. The biggest highlight being placing 3rd in the D1 Pom category. Megan says "I learned so much from my experience on a college team and it changed my life and perspective on being an athlete and what it takes to be successful. I was inspired to start coaching by my own coach and how much she had an impact on me and started my coaching career for a local Fargo school, and took them to their first ever 4th place finish in Kick at state." When she isn't coaching Megan is working full time in Accounting, spending time with her husband and friends/family, working out, being a dog mom to her puppy Ace, and watching her favorite shows. Megan has big goals for this team and can’t wait to share her passion and knowledge with these girls and hopefully inspire them to reach their own goals!!

Haleigh Thompson - B-Squad Jazz Coach
Coach Haleigh began dancing when she was 2 ½ years old for a local studio, (Fun Fact- it was the same studio her mom danced at). She continued dancing through her junior year of high school when an unfortunate fall and a recurring injury caused her to hang up her dancing shoes.  While Haleigh loved dance the most, she also enjoyed participating in various other activities and sports. Haleigh attended UW-Stout and received her degree in Special Education, she went on to attend Arizona State University and earned a Master’s Degree in Family and Human Development.  While working as a high-needs teacher at Park High School in Cottage Grove, she began coaching the JV dance team, the following year she was named Varsity Head Coach. Haleigh stayed with the Park Dance team for 5 years until a move brought her closer to the Rogers area. It was difficult to say goodbye to her team after creating so many memories with them including the first time the team heard their name called aloud at a competition after placing 3rd.
Haleigh currently works in a middle school setting as a resource for special needs students. She joined the coaching staff of RDT in the 2019-20 season as the B-Squad coach and she is very excited to return to RDT for the 2020-21 season. She has a goal of increased technique and building relationships and routines. Outside of teaching and coaching RDT, Haleigh is a Pure Barre instructor in Maple Grove, a Personal Care Assistant going on 11 summers with the same client, and her first child was born in September! Currently she lives with her husband, Andy and 2 dogs, Chloe and Ava in Otsego. Haleigh enjoys going to their families cabin, visiting her family in Arizona, reading, staying organized, Fall, and being in the sun.
